The contractor will be wrapping up construction operations for winter shutdown beginning Monday, December 4, 2017. This will result in a traffic pattern change during the winter months until construction resumes in 2018. University Avenue eastbound and westbound lanes from McClain Drive to Midway Drive will be fully open. There will be no head to head traffic during winter shutdown and the roundabout at Cedar Heights Drive will be fully functional. The attached map shows how the corridor will operate. All business and residential access will be be fully open.
Earlier today the temporary traffic signal was damaged at the intersection of University Avenue and Cedar Heights Drive. This intersection will operate as an ALL-WAY stop until the traffic signal can be replaced. The contractor is working to get this operational within the next 24 hours. For safety's sake, please take caution at the intersection and avoid entering the barricaded construction area.
Thank you for your patience.
